Susanne Hein is the director of the music library of the Zentral- und Landesbibliothek Berlin. After graduating as a librarian and musicologist, she completed her education with a master’s degree in library and information science from Humboldt University in Berlin. She is active in various networks and committees for music libraries. From 2003 to 2009, she was president of the German branch of the International Association of Music Libraries, and she has represented the music libraries of Berlin at the Landesmusikrat Berlin (State Music Council) since 1999.
